“Flame of Freedom” Memorial
This memorial is located at the intersection of East Main Street and Oak Street, in front of the Statesboro City Hall.
As the plaque reads, it was installed on March the 15th, 1969, by city officials and the American Legion, in commemoration of their 50th anniversary and dedicated to all who served the cause of freedom in the United States armed forces.
United States vs. Darby Lumber Company Memorial
This memorial was erected by the Bulloch County Historical Society and supported by the Jack N. & Addie D. Averitt Foundation as a reminder of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1941 decision in the case United States vs. Darby Lumber Co.
The case affirmed the federal government’s ability to regulate employment conditions, including a minimum wage.
This memorial is on South Zetterower Avenue, on the Willie McTell Trail.
Bulloch County Veterans Memorial
This memorial was erected by American Legion Post 90 and is dedicated to the memory of the all-wars American veterans.
It is located at the intersection of Courtland Street and Siebald Street on the Bulloch County Judicial Annex grounds.
Statesboro Confederate Monument
This memorial was erected in 1909 by the United Daughters Of The Confederacy and is dedicated to the Confederate soldiers from the American Civil War.
It is located on East Main Street, State Highway 24, near South Main Street in Statesboro.
Statesboro Vietnam Memorial
Statesboro Vietnam Memorial was erected in 1969 by Statesboro Jaycettes and is dedicated in honor of all Vietnam veterans. Memorial is located at the intersection of East Main Street and Savannah Avenue.
The March to the Sea Memorial
The March to the Sea Memorial was erected in 1957 by Georgia Historical Commission and is dedicated to the memory of one of the most significant battles in the American Civil War.
The memorial is located on Courtland Street near North Main Street, between the west and rear entrance of the Courthouse in Statesboro.
World War II Prison Camp Memorial
This historical marker was erected in 2016 by The Bulloch County Historical Society, and sponsored by the Jack N. & Addie D. Averitt Foundation, in memory of German and Italian war prisoners stationed in Statesboro from 1943-45.
The memorial is located on East Parrish Street.
